Unfit to Serve

I am now convinced that this man is suffering from some kind of mental illness, a complete lack of impulse control. I honestly don't think he is capable of assuming the role of the presidency. I think that one only needs to go to his twitter feed to watch in horror as he rants about imaginary slights and demons that persecute him. We don't need a presidential historian, we need a trained psychologist to figure this out. What is going on in this guys head?

I thought Nixon was bitter with his concession speech after losing the race for Governor of California  but nothing compared to Trump, who won. My evidence from tonight (11/28/2016):

Are you feeling great again?

Just when I promised that  I would abandon my Trump Rants something like this comes my way. Do you have $222 to spend on this POS made in China?

How did we get to this point? I have no idea, but I for one will soon be wearing a a tee shirt with an image of Obama with the caption "Do You Miss Me Yet?"

As my son wisely observed "'Murica got what it deserved". God bless us, I was hoping for the Giant Meteor. I'll end my rant now. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

Enjoy the moment, please read the reviews of this item.

Sample Review:
"My office puts up a tree every year and we pool resources to get a really nice ornament, usually on the pricey side. For example, 8 years ago we got a really nice, hand crafted ornament from Hawaii. We liked it so much, we decided to get another one just like it 4 years later. Well, this year we all got together and chose a sedate, classy ornament from a shop in New York. My New York friends swore by their work and so we voted and chose it.But then this red and gold POS showed up in the mail and we can't figure out why! We went through the vote hat again and we definitely voted for the New York piece with overwhelming numbers. I'm a bit worried that our manager, who thinks he's special and soooo sELECTIVE, might have gone over our heads and ordered this one instead.
It turns out we can't get a refund and now we're stuck with the ugly thing. We put it on the side of the tree facing the wall, but it must be bewitched or something because it keeps reappearing at the top of the tree every morning! We found our angel topper in the corner crying. We don't know what happened and she says she's afraid to tell us" - Tacitus Lector (Reviewer)

Google Sites Update...Finally

I've been blogging and experimenting with online publishing for over eight years. I've tried different platforms and evaluated their stong and weak points. My goal has been to find something that was easy to maintain and use. As my readers know I like to share photos, videos and at time a rant about the human condition. I want anything I publish to be of use to my readers.

Wordpress and Blogger seem to fill the needs for a blogging platform but up to now I was unhappy with Google Sites which was Google's website tool. It remained unchanged for years, but in late November they offered a completely new offering. It lost some features but its strong point is that it works on multiple screen, the desktop, tablet and smart phone. It has a simplified editor. I was disappointed that I couldn't figure how to make it my default landing page and I miss the gadgets that let me add RSS feeds, countdown timers and other gadgets but maybe they will be added at a later date. Where is the search box?

The new site has a clean look and I'm happy with that. It looks like this instead of this.  I plan to flesh out my site over the coming months. I'll report the progress in posts. Thanks for your readership

I Need to Get a Life - I WILL Get a Life

Support this blog by using this Amazon Link

My unfortunate friends and family have been subjected my daily rantings about Donald J Trump ever since I watched him take that ridiculous ride down the escalator in June of 2015.

Most of the ranting has taken place on Facebook and I've noticed that others with Trump Induced Anxiety have been as busy as me. They rant, I rant, we all rant,  sharing news items from the FAILED New York Times and other "crooked" media. I can feel my Cortisol levels soar when I read the articles and also when I post them.

I need to take a break, at least I need to stop fixating on the guy,  I need to get back to posting nature photos and reflecting on seven decades of life. Maybe the four years will pass without a major catastrophe, that is a short time in a 70 year lifespan.

During the final days of the campaign, I watched family members go after each other on the pages of Facebook. It got quite nasty. I resisted the urge to jump in, but I was sorely tempted.

I do have these blogs as a virtual scream room when I feel the need to vent, but I'll resist the urge to share it with Facebook.
Is it over yet?

Trump and the media

America wanted something completely different and with Donald J Trump they got it. For those who thought he would somehow be transformed by the weight of the office, rest assured that he is the same guy as you saw at the rallies. "Crooked Media" is back and probably all his other catch phrases. God help us all.

Making America Great Again (Just like the 1960s)

Sad to think that Jeff Sessions a senator who called the NAACP and ACLU un-American is in line to be the next Attorney General. Trump is putting together some team isn't he?

Since we tend to forget history are doomed to repeat it, I'll share a few photos from the Library of Congress album - Civil Rights -- A Long Road. As a nation we need to protect peoples rights, not infringe them with the justification that we are making America Great Again.

Trump Fence

Support this blog by using this Amazon Link

It seems that President-Elect Trump is softening a bit on some of his campaign promises. He won't completely abandon Obamacare and may not scrap the Iran Nuke Deal.

I would suggest that if he can't get Mexico to pay for his wall, that he scale it back a bit to be an attractive fence, one with nice patriotic bunting.

War and Its Consequences

Leonard Cohen dead at 82

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Leonard Cohen, one of my favorite poet/songwriters. In an interview with The New Yorker in October 2016 he revealed that at 82 he was ready to die.

"Well Marianne, it’s come to this time when we are really so old and our bodies are falling apart and I think I will follow you very soon. Know that I am so close behind you that if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine. And you know that I’ve always loved you for your beauty and your wisdom, but I don’t need to say anything more about that because you know all about that. But now, I just want to wish you a very good journey. Goodbye old friend. Endless love, see you down the road."  - Cohen's letter to a dying friend

Daylight Savings Time (and its inverse)

For the love of God, please stop this madness with the clocks twice a year. I realize that we have just LEFT daylight savings time, but each transition is equally annoying. Why am I supposed to believe I "gained" an hour of sunshine when I watch it get dark at 5 PM? More sleep? my cat isn't fooled, she knows what is real, she is a CAT they know all kinds of stuff.

On Monday commuters will drive into solar glare, be blinded and smash into each other. That is not a trivial matter. I'll experience a bit of Seasonal Affective Disorder  as I watch the sun set sometime in what used to be my afternoon.

I've reprogrammed most of the devices with the exception of the car radio, That requires a deep dive into the user manual. It is process that involves not only a button sequence but a twiddle of the volume control. Amazing eh?

This is going to be my generic complaint post about this stupidity. I'm posting it for autumn and will repost it in spring. My slogan "Hands off our clocks, no pun intended".
