Trump sons on vacation in Africa, what a bunch of sickos

I was hoping that these guys were going to show up at the Labor Day Parade in Milford, NH. I had a few choice phrases to scream at them. Didn't happen.

Ripple - Playing for Change - Song Around the World

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

My all time favorite Grateful Dead tune performed by artists from all over the world

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music
Would you hold it near as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better left unsung
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of men
There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home

The End of the Internet

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

It took some time with thousands of files, music, photos and spam mail but I finally hit the wall with my free storage on Google. The same thing  is happening on the hard drive which edging toward full capacity.

My whole life is like this, a cellar and attic full of stuff. So much stuff. I know I am in trouble when I buy more storage bins to hold the stuff I never plan to use.

Gmail stores all the mail you send and receive which is the reason that Hillary didn't use it. My mailbox is a mess. I have offers from Nigeria for millions of dollars, political newsletters from 2008 etc. You probably have the same problem don't you?

So what should I do? 100GB for 2 bucks a month seems like a good bargain. Ten bucks a month for a full terabyte seems even better.

I'm such a Google fanboy that they are always my first choice for technology. However the folks at Amazon give me money when folks buy stuff from the links on my blogs. I like Amazon so much that I signed up for Prime, which seemed silly at first but they keep adding stuff like this:

UNLIMITED STORAGE FOR $60!

It's like finding a warehouse of storage bins. The unlimited photos is amazing considering that it includes some RAW formats (Nikon, Canon, DNG, TIFF, PNG).  I realize that just as I reached the end of the internet, I found a wormhole to another dimension.

Time to get that Yottabyte of stuff uploaded.

Red Tail Hawk - New Hampshire State Raptor

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

HB 373 establishes the red-tailed hawk as the New Hampshire state raptor

I couldn't agree more, such a beautiful creature, our state raptor

Sadly State Representative Warren Groen and a few other fringe politicians managed to kill the bill

A group of fourth graders from Hampton Falls, N.H., learned the brutal reality of politics when they visited the statehouse last Thursday to draft a bill only to see it killed by representatives.
The 9- and 10-year-olds, from Lincoln Akerman School, proposed House Bill 373, to establish the Red Tail Hawk as the New Hampshire state raptor.
The bill made it past the Environment and Agricultural committee with a majority vote, but some representatives like Rep. Warren Groen, a Republican from Rochester, weren't quite as receptive.
"It grasps them with its talons then uses its razor sharp beak to basically tear it apart limb by limb, and I guess the shame about making this a state bird is it would serve as much better mascot for Planned Parenthood," Groen said.
Groen made his comments against the bill as the students sat, watched and listened to him. Rep. John Burt, a Republican from Goffstown, was also against the proposed bill.
"Bottom line, if we keep bringing more of these bills, and bills, and bills forward that really I think we shouldn't have in front of us, we'll be picking a state hot dog next," Burt said.
The bill ended up being killed in a 133-to-160 vote.

Global Warming Hoax?

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

It has been a brutal winter in the Northeast. However the world is a bigger place as the video shows.

"We keep hearing that 2014 has been the warmest year on record," Inhofe said. "So I ask the chair," — referring to Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) — "Do you know what this is? It's a snowball, from just outside here. So it's very, very cold out... very unseasonable." He then lobbed said snowball to a page and lapsed into deep silence, a smile across his face.

What would a real scientist say?

Kinder Morgan pipeline musings

Your Amazon purchases help support this blog, Thank You.

"It is often difficult to judge how our actions and their impact on the environment are likely to affect others. What is clear is that we are the only species with the power to destroy the earth. Birds and insects have no such power, nor does any other mammal. And yet if we have the capacity to destroy the earth, we also have the capacity to protect it. I believe we have an urgent responsibility to do so."
- Dalai Lama

Much has already been written about the high pressure gas line that is planned to run our towns, and how wonderful this is going to be for America. It will be make some folks rich of course, since it will be exported to higher priced markets offshore. Sadly I fear the deal is sealed. One only need to look at the recent vote for the tar sands oil Keystone pipeline vote. Lots of campaign money went into the coffers for that vote.

I'm going to concentrate my efforts on highlighting our neighborhood. Places that are or might be at risk with this industrial project. I'll start with Pickity Place since this letter was posted in the local paper:

"Dear Cheryl LaFleur of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Do you remember the story of “Little Red Riding Hood”? Deep in the woods of Mason, New Hampshire, grandmother’s house still exists. If you enter this old house built in 1786, you will see the wolf sound asleep, in grandmother’s bed, with a smile on his face. The big old Ash tree, as seen in the Little Golden book, still stands in front of the cottage. It is the biggest white ash in New Hampshire. Grandmother’s house is now called Pickity Place. It is a wonderful restaurant with a gift shop, a greenhouse and garden shop. It is surrounded by acres of walking trails through old English gardens, filled with flowers and herbs that are used in the restaurant. It is a tranquil, picture perfect place, often the site for special occasions and weddings.

Kinder Morgan/Tennessee Gas did not do their homework when they chose to become neighbors with this wonderful restaurant. They have proposed to put a 36” pipeline and a compressor station near this historical site.

Kinder Morgan / Tennessee Gas claims they will be helping the economy by providing jobs. These are temporary jobs for out of state workers. If a compressor station is put anywhere near Pickity Place, it will go out of business and 25 local employees will lose their jobs; 350 local vendors will be affected.

Compressor stations are extremely noisy. They are not safe for our environment. They spew out huge amounts of toxins. These toxins include benzene, toluene, sulfuric oxide, formaldehyde and other carcinogens. Residents living 1,500 feet away from compressor sites have suffered from nose bleeds, rashes, headaches, sore throats, dizziness and nausea.

Please do not grant Kinder Morgan’s Petition. Please do not awaken the sleeping wolf."

Herbs grown in the garden

What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

What a great gift for 2015, having Louie run against John Boehner. Combine that with Mike Huckabee running for president and we are off with a very exciting year.
